Here's a video that Faith Cathcart did on Bruce Ely, Randy Rasmussen, Rob Finch and myself shooting the 100-meter race when Tyson Gay ran the fast time ever run by a human being in any conditions. Hopfully I don't sound too dorky.

Tomorrow is the last day and I'll be posting my photos soon after that.

Lack of Content on the Bloggage

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>My apologies dear loyal readers of Thomas Boyd's Untitled Bloggage. It's crunch time on two projects I've been working on. I can't wait to post a gallery of my photos from the Columbia Gorge. It could be my best assignment ever. I spent four days shooting last week and I'll spend a few more tomorrow and Friday.

Slideshow Of All The Photos On This Blog

I think I'll start using this more for multiple photo updates. Mostly because the photos are huge and that's important to me, but I can upload photos to Picassa directly from Aperture with Ubermind's Aperture To Picassa Web Albums plugin you can get here: http://www.ubermind.com/products/aperturetopicasawebalbums.php

You simply select the photos in Aperture you want to be in the gallery. Export with the plugin to Picassa. Make the gallery in Picassa and and embed it in the blog. Like magic, it appears as a huge gallery.

Fast Bikes

This was my first attempt covering a professional bicycle race. I had a lot fun. The races last 90 minutes so there's plenty of time to experiment and walk the course.

Obama at the Track Meet

This is by the strangest track and field meet I've ever experienced. Presidential candidate Barack Obama showed up unannounced to throw some t-shirts and press some flesh. The access was pretty good considering all the secret service with him.

Here's one of the 21 images I sent back to the paper.

Millionaires in a Box

I was down at the waterfront condos tonight looking around. I was fascinated that there were four skyscrapers full of people with their curtain open, most of whom are very wealthy, and I only spotted one or two of them.

>Clinton in Junction City

Added on by Thomas Boyd.

>I shot former President Clinton in Junction City this morning. I had a little time to crank off a few frames with a borrowed 45mm tilt/shift lens. I have to admit, I really dig the look and love shooting with it. I can't seem to get one in the paper...but I'll keep trying until that tilt/shift is pried from my cold dead fingers!

I shot this with my Hasselblad at the pool at the Courtyard in North Portland. I'm really excited because Pro Photo Supply can make 5x5 prints from the 120 film with the full frame black borders. I shot a photo of the print with my 5D and a 50mm lens so I could post it here. Once I'm settled I'll just scan the print on a flat bed scanner or scan the film. I haven't decided. Better yet, they are running a special that 120 processing and prints are only $5.

I was on my way back from Hood River and decided to take the scenic route. I thought I'd just explore and scout locations for the future. The wind was strong and cold and the light didn't seem particularly interesting so I really had no intention of shooting. But when I got to Crown Point the sun was dropping below the clouds and things were starting to happen with the light. I couldn't resist...I unloaded the tripod and cameras and went to work! I wasn't the only one. Photographer Kevin Merchant of Newcastle, Washington (http://kevinmerchant.com/) was there shooting as well. As the sun dropped below the horizon the clouds parted and revealed the moon. Neither of us expected that.
